The Network Services team will be performing critical repairs to damaged fiber optic cabling in the Rice Stadium.
To minimize disruption, technicians will be repairing the fiber methodically, one strand at a time, rather than taking a full network outage.
KTRU: Will experience a temporary outage during this window while its dedicated fiber strand is serviced.
Stadium Area Wired/Wireless Networks & Security Cameras: We do not anticipate an outage for these services. However, because physical work is being done on the infrastructure, there is a minor risk of intermittent connectivity for devices directly connected to the stadium bookroom switch.
We appreciate your patience while we complete these necessary infrastructure repairs. Updates will be posted here if the maintenance window is extended or encounters any unexpected delays.
