Scheduled Maintenance
In order to meet new baseline expectations with InCommon we will be upgrading our SSO service to only accept TLS 1.2 secure connections and higher. For SAML based SSO, this should not be a concern. For CAS based SSO, any SERVER using using TLS versions lower than 1.2 will fail and authentication will not be possible. It is important for any administrators running a CAS based web service that utilizes Rice's identity provider to check their configurations to ensure they are using the proper version of TLS prior to the date of this change. We've finished the deployment of our fix and we've confirmed via monitoring and user reports that the issue has been mitigated.

The fiber migration is complete. We experienced no loss of service. Everything went as planned. Network Services will monitor these interfaces closely for the next few days to ensure no errors are incrementing due to artifacts left behind from the terminations. Right now everything looks clean.

Resolved - SETG has reported that CenturyLink has restored services and traffic has been re-established on the link.

Monitoring - Centurylink has reported an IP Transit issue in the Houston Metro. Our internet service provider SETG has re-routed traffic off of that carrier. During re-convergence a temporary blip was seen. It appears to be stable and we will continue to monitor.
